Delete your account and data
You can delete your Lovink account and everything attached to it at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Delete it yourself, in the app
This is immediate and removes everything listed below.
- Open Lovink and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings and safety.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
You may be asked to sign in again first. Deleting an account is irreversible, so we require a recent sign-in before it will proceed. If you see a message asking you to sign in again, do that and repeat the steps above.
If you no longer have the app
Email support.lovink@gmail.com from the address on your Lovink account, with the subject Delete my account. We will confirm the request and delete the account.
We reply within 3 business days and complete deletion within 30 days of confirming your identity. We ask you to write from your registered email address because it is how we confirm the request is really yours — we will never ask you for your password, by email or anywhere else.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your sign-in credentials and account record
- Your profile: name, age, photos, prompts, interests and your thought
- Your photo files in storage
- Your answers to statements, and the matching data derived from them
- Your matches, and the conversations in them, including the messages
- Your likes, passes, blocks and your discovery deck
- Your saved preferences and filters
Deleting your account also removes your conversations from the other person's app. Nothing of yours is left behind under a placeholder name.
What may be kept, and why
- Records related to a safety report made about your account may be retained where we are required to keep them, so that a person who has been reported cannot erase the report by deleting their account.
- Ordinary server logs, which are kept for a limited period and are not used to rebuild a profile.
- Backups roll off on their own schedule; deleted data is not restored from them.
